Gluten Free Pasta
Yes, you can have gluten free pasta. Yes, it can be delicious. I have tried many over the counter products. I have found one that I like. Tinkyada Joy is a rice pasta. It cooks up just like any wheat pasta I have ever tried and tastes just as good or better.
I highly recommend it. I can get it at my local Grocery too. I just wish they would carry more then a few of the selections. You can also order it from Amazon.com. Another option is to make your own. It is easier then you think. Try it. You may just like it.
- 1/3 cup tapioca flour
- 2 tablespoons potato flour
- 1/3 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon xanthan gum
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
mix dry ingredients set aside
mix eggs and oil
blend into dry mix
knead for a couple of min
dust bread board with cornstarch
place ball of dough on it dust ball of dough with cornstarch
Roll out as thin as you like
Cut into the shape you want
Now you can boil them or freeze them.
